Asset custody & tool checkout management
Why formalize equipment checkout records
Unaccounted keys and lost tools cause costly downtime and serious security risks for commercial facilities, job sites, and retail operations.
- Clear individual custody: Assign every tool, master key, or portable scanner to a specific named custodian rather than a general crew.
- Document pre-existing condition: Note dents, existing wear, or missing accessories at checkout to prevent disputes upon return.
- Establish return expectations: Set clear due dates and verify full inventory (chargers, extra batteries, cases) before signing off on returns.
Key security notice
Lost facility keys and gate remotes must be reported to management immediately so compromised locks can be rekeyed or access codes revoked.
